NorbuLoom begins with an appreciation for the landscapes, materials and craft traditions of the Himalayan region. We are building a considered collection of objects that invite a closer relationship with the things we keep.
Our interest is in both the extraordinary and the everyday: the soft weight of a textile, the surface of worked silver, the changing character of wood.
We are at the beginning of this journey. The pieces presented here are design studies, a way of sharing the direction of the brand before the first physical collection is ready.

Craft is not an anonymous aesthetic. It is knowledge practiced by people, within particular communities and places.
As the collection takes shape, we intend to share maker profiles with permission, describe each process accurately, and distinguish a maker’s own story from our interpretation.
